ভয়

মোহনায় এসে নদী ভয়ে থরথর
রইলো বিজনে পড়ে ফেলে আসা ঘর।
পিছু পানে দেখে চেয়ে ফেলে আসা পথে
সুউচ্চ পর্বত থেকে বন জনপদে।
সম্মুখে দেখে চেয়ে অকূল পাথার
সাগরে হারানো ছাড়া, পথ নাই আর ।
মোহনায় এসে নদী ফিরতে কী পারে,
সেই মতো তার জন্য কে আছে সংসারে!
এছাড়া আর অন্যকিছু পথ নাই আর
অস্তিত্ব হারানোর ভয় দুঃখ অনিবার।
নদী তাই ঝাঁপ দিয়ে সাগরে হারায়,
নিজেকে বিলীন করে বিশালত্ব পায়

Fear

It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.
She looks back at the path she has travelled
from the peaks of the mountains
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.
And in front of her
she sees an ocean so vast
and to enter
there seems nothing more than to disappear forever.
But there is no other way
This river can not go back.
Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.
The river needs to take this risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear
because thats where the river will know
it is not about disappearing into the ocean
but of becoming the ocean.
